off to pride

Why we’re here

The practical side of Pride.

A UK visitor guide for LGBTQ+ people, families, friends and allies planning a Pride trip.

A guide for the whole Pride trip

Off to Pride is run by Does Your Duck Quack. The site helps LGBTQ+ people, families, friends and allies plan a UK Pride visit that works for them. You might be attending your first parade, returning to a favourite city, travelling alone or arranging a weekend with a group. Our aim is to make the practical questions easier to answer before you arrive, while recognising Pride’s roots in protest and community organising.

Different visitors need different days. Some want a concert and an evening out; others prefer a short parade visit, a family picnic or a museum stop. We explain the separate parts of an event so you can choose your own pace. A welcoming guide also needs useful access information, realistic travel advice and room for breaks, rather than an assumption that everyone can follow the same itinerary.

What each hub covers

A Pride hub brings together the event’s character, parade route and viewing options, free and ticketed areas, published timings and booking information. It covers family activities, quieter breaks, arriving by train or bus, road restrictions and getting home. You will also find places to stay, food and evening options, packing advice, accessibility information and practical FAQs. Where a detail cannot be established, we say so rather than filling the gap with a guess.

The Brighton hub has separate accommodation and accessibility pages for the extra detail those decisions need. The calendar and regional listings help you find other events, while days out and practical guides offer alternatives and advice across destinations.

How dates are checked and labelled

We check organiser announcements and official event or venue information, and link to the sources used. Hub pages include a “Last checked” date. “Last held” identifies a previous edition, not an upcoming booking opportunity. “2027: TBC” means the next date is still to be confirmed in this guide. “Announced” identifies a published future date. A cancelled event is marked separately so its scheduled date is not mistaken for an edition that took place.

When next-year details are unavailable, useful previous-edition facts remain clearly labelled by year. An announced date does not confirm every route, ticket price or transport arrangement. Follow the organiser’s current information before booking and check again nearer departure, especially for access applications, temporary station closures and the journey home.

How we choose hotels

Our accommodation shortlists focus on practical locations near the parade route, venue or transport, with budget formats and nearby towns where useful. Walking suitability is based on the property’s location and the published route; it is not a guarantee of a step-free journey. Compare the actual room type, total price and cancellation terms. Ask the property directly about any facilities essential to your stay.

Affiliate disclosure

Hotel links go to Booking.com through CJ referrals. Off to Pride may earn a commission if you book through them, at no extra cost to you. Those links are labelled on the accommodation page and disclosed in the footer. A listing does not guarantee availability, a fixed room rate or suitability for your requirements.

Email webmaster@offtopride.co.uk with the page address, the detail that needs changing and a link to the official source. Date changes, ticket conditions, transport updates and access information are particularly useful. For an existing reservation, refund or access application, contact the organiser or accommodation provider directly; Off to Pride does not manage those bookings.
