off to pride

Make a weekend of it

Stay close to the Merchant City.

Six hotels near the march and festival, three budget options and nearby rail bases.

2026 event — 2027 date announced: 17 July 2027

Choose your Glasgow base

These six hotels are within walking distance of the Merchant City festival streets, the 2026 march route or both. Three are in or beside the Merchant City; the others are near Glasgow Central, Queen Street or the river. This is a location shortlist: walking suitability depends on your mobility, your route and the road closures on the day.

Room rates change with dates, availability and cancellation terms. No fixed Pride room price is quoted. Glasgow hotels can fill quickly in July, especially when other big events share the city. Check the exact property, room, guest count and total payable before booking; contact the hotel directly about specific access needs.

Overflow bases: Paisley, Stirling and Edinburgh

These places can widen the accommodation search, but compare the whole trip rather than just the room price. The following are typical daytime station-to-station rail estimates, not a Pride special timetable or a promise of a late train. Add the walk to each station, waiting time and the walk to the Merchant City.

Paisley Gilmour Street → Glasgow Central
About 10–14 minutes
Stirling → Glasgow Queen Street
About 27–40 minutes
Edinburgh → Glasgow Queen Street
About 45 minutes–1 hour 10 minutes

Paisley is west of Glasgow, with frequent ScotRail trains into Central. Check the last train from Glasgow back to Paisley for your date. It is also close to Glasgow Airport, which may suit visitors flying in.

Stirling is north-east of Glasgow, with direct trains to Queen Street. Check the last direct train from Queen Street to Stirling for your date. Check the walk from Stirling station to your room, especially with luggage.

Edinburgh gives you a far bigger choice of rooms, but the journey is longer. Express trains take about 45 minutes; stopping services take over an hour. Check the last direct train from Queen Street to Edinburgh for your date. Edinburgh’s own Pride is a separate event earlier in the summer.

Use ScotRail or National Rail to plan the complete return journey for your date, including any engineering work.
