A city-centre day of live music, poetry and community stalls organised by Herefordshire Queers & Beers.
2026 event — 2027 date to be confirmed
Hereford Pride brought the LGBTQIA+ community and allies together in High Town on 6 June 2026. The 2026 celebration was organised by Herefordshire Queers & Beers with Hereford City Life, the city’s business improvement district. The group’s online hub links its social accounts and contact email.
The event took place: the Hereford Times’ on-the-day video report describes the mayor opening Pride to a crowd in High Town. This was a city-centre celebration, with performances and community activity rather than a visit to the older racecourse venue.
Pride’s roots are in protest, visibility and the continuing fight for equal rights. Supporting a local day can mean listening to performers, visiting community stalls or simply being visibly supportive. You do not need to commit to an evening party to take part.
The organiser’s 2026 event listing gives Saturday 6 June. Herefordshire Council’s announcement and shared poster placed the daytime celebration in High Town, from 10am to 4pm. Those are the historical 2026 arrangements.
High Town was the main daytime destination. The council-shared poster also advertised a quiet space and an afterparty at The Imperial Inn. Treat the street programme and any evening venue as different parts of your visit, with their own practical questions.
No official 2027 date was found in the organiser’s online hub or accessible social material checked. Keep travel and accommodation flexible until a dated announcement appears. The 2026 poster is useful background, but it cannot establish a future venue, timetable or admission condition.
The council’s 2026 poster advertised High Town performances and a market. It did not give a parade meeting point, start time or route. For that edition, visitors could plan directly around the published city-centre site.
Checks of the organiser’s event hub, local reporting and Herefordshire Council’s roadworks and closure information did not establish a 2026 procession route.
If you want to walk with a group next time, ask the organiser whether a procession is planned and how to participate. For a fixed-site visit, leave entrances, shop access and pedestrian routes clear. Choose a meeting point with friends before moving towards the performance area, and keep enough room to leave comfortably.
The poster shared by Herefordshire Council stated free entry. It advertised live music and poetry, a makers’ market and a quiet space at The Imperial Inn. Named performers included The Breaks and Yüngold; this is historical programme information, not a promised future line-up.
Participating maker Creative Juice’s advance announcement also described a tote-bag painting activity, local musicians and a bar in the Butter Market. It identified Hereford Beer House and The Jam Factory as running that bar. These details come from the participating maker’s account.
Free admission does not cover everything you might buy. Plan separate spending for refreshments, market purchases and any activity with its own charge. No published general age condition or afterparty ticket price was established. Ask the organiser before planning an evening visit with younger guests.
Build in a break rather than staying beside the loudest performance throughout. Bring weather protection for the outdoor day, and check the next programme before travelling specifically to hear an act. Venue and entry rules should come from that edition’s announcement.
National Rail lists Hereford station on Station Approach, managed by Transport for Wales. Use that station for a rail journey into the city, then plan the onward route to High Town. No walking time is assumed here.
Sargeants publishes local bus routes and service updates, including city circulars. Check the stop you will actually use and the return service. An afternoon arrival does not guarantee that a bus runs after an evening party.
For driving or bus diversions, consult Herefordshire Council’s live roadworks and traffic map. Its public-event and closure layers help with current restrictions. No dedicated Pride car park, road-closure list or special late train is promised.
Check your final useful train and every onward connection before arriving. If joining the afterparty, agree your leaving time independently of the group’s plans. Save the route back to the station and allow a margin for queues, assistance or disruption. A daytime finish at 4pm does not establish an evening transport timetable.
These properties’ current websites confirm their names and locations. The first two offer central bases around High Town; the third provides a budget comparison through simpler room choices. Compare cancellation terms and ask directly about any essential room access before booking.

The council-shared 2026 poster explicitly placed the quiet space at The Imperial Inn. Creative Juice’s participating-maker announcement said Herefordshire Board Gamers and Herefordshire Mind were involved in running a quiet space. Ask for the next edition’s location, entrance and availability before relying on that arrangement.
National Rail lists Hereford as step-free category A, with lifts. However, its current warning says the lifts between platforms 1 and 2 are out of order. Check the live position with Transport for Wales and arrange assistance for your particular journey.
Event-specific information on accessible toilets, Changing Places, BSL and reserved viewing was not established in the opened material. Contact the organiser through its online hub; it gives herefordqueersandbeers@outlook.com. Describe whether you need information about High Town, the quiet space or the evening venue.
