2026 event — 2027 date announced: 21 August 2027
Herts Pride is Hertfordshire’s county-wide LGBTQIA+ celebration, held in Watford’s Cassiobury Park. Its organiser welcomes LGBTQIA+ people, families, friends and allies. This guide covers the park festival.
The 2026 event took place: the organiser’s homepage thanks visitors for celebrating at Cassiobury Park. Pride grew from protest for equal rights. A park festival can offer entertainment while keeping visibility and community connection at its heart. Give yourself time to meet the organisations there, rather than treating the day only as a concert.
Herts Pride 2026 took place on Saturday 22 August at Cassiobury Park, Watford. Watford Borough Council’s dated announcement gave festival hours of noon–10pm.
The organiser has announced Saturday 21 August 2027 on its homepage. Keep that date separate from the historical arrangements below: 2026 opening hours and ticket prices are not promises for 2027. Check the next programme before choosing an arrival time.
The organiser’s directions page gives WD18 7LG as the park postcode. Check the festival entrance when its next site instructions appear. A postcode for a large park does not necessarily bring you to the event’s entrance or your agreed meeting point.
The opened organiser homepage, directions page and council’s 2026 announcement described a festival in Cassiobury Park. They did not publish a street parade, assembly point, start time or finish. Searches of local coverage did not establish one either. Plan around the park event rather than assuming a procession through Watford.
If a march is added for a future edition, ask Herts Pride for the actual meeting point and registration process. Do not follow a route belonging to Pride in London or another Hertfordshire event. For the park, agree a meeting point with your group before arriving. Keep entrances and paths clear, and move away from the busiest crowd if you need space.
For 2026, the council listed advance admission at £12 for adults, £10 for ages 13–17 and £30 for a family ticket. Under-13s entered free with a responsible adult. Eligible visitors could obtain free Essential Companion tickets. Confirm the next ticket’s conditions before buying; the announcement did not explain the family ticket’s composition.
The council described a main stage, wellbeing marquee, market, sports and emergency-services zones, a funfair and dog show. These were 2026 arrangements. Allow for food, travel and any additional purchases when setting a budget.
The organiser’s published entry rules require bag checks and prohibit bringing alcohol into the event. They also prohibit open containers and opened water bottles. Bars use Challenge 25, so take acceptable photo ID if you intend to buy alcohol. Read the current rules again before packing for 2027.
For a first visit, choose a manageable length of stay instead of feeling obliged to remain all day. Save your ticket where you can retrieve it offline. Ask the organiser about re-entry before making a plan that depends on leaving the site and returning.
The organiser’s directions identify three different rail stations: Watford Junction, Watford High Street and Watford Underground on the Metropolitan line. Check which one your ticket and journey planner actually use. These are separate stations, so do not simply enter “Watford” and assume the last part of the journey is identical.
The organiser lists bus 352 outside Watford Metropolitan line station. Check the operator’s current timetable before relying on it, particularly for the return. Its directions also name Gade car park on Rosslyn Road, Avenue on Hempstead Road and Watford Town Hall parking. Check opening hours, restrictions and payment arrangements directly before driving.
No Pride-specific late train or road-closure notice was established in the opened sources. Check engineering work and your actual-date return service before setting off. A festival finishing at 10pm does not mean every onward connection remains available afterwards. Leave time to exit the crowd, reach the correct station and find your platform.
Save an earlier return option, particularly if you need another bus after the train. Agree with companions whether you will leave together. If staying overnight, save the hotel’s address independently of your booking app.
Compare these two town-centre bases for Cassiobury Park and one budget-chain option beside Watford Junction. Hotel operators’ current pages confirm their names and addresses. Check the particular room, cancellation conditions and your route back; an accessible hotel entrance does not establish that every room suits your needs.

For 2026, production supplier Just Smile’s event report confirms an elevated, dedicated disabled viewing platform for the main stage. THIIS Magazine’s 27 August report confirms an AccessoLoo mobile Changing Places facility was available. Ask about the next edition’s location and equipment before travelling.
The council’s 2026 announcement identifies a Quiet Zone. We did not establish BSL provision or detailed booking instructions for viewing and companion tickets. Use the organiser’s contact form to ask about your specific needs, including seating, toilet access and the route from the entrance.
National Rail lists Watford Junction as step-free category A, with lifts and accessible toilets; it does not list a Changing Places toilet. This describes the station, not the festival. Check lift availability and arrange assistance for your journey where needed.
The organiser has announced 21 August 2027. The 2026 event was on 22 August. Check the official site for the programme before booking non-refundable travel.
Yes. The organiser’s thank-you homepage confirms the Cassiobury Park celebration took place. The supplier’s event report and THIIS Magazine’s accessibility report provide further retrospective evidence.
No: 2026 admission was ticketed. The historical prices above came from Watford Borough Council’s announcement. Future prices need checking when the organiser releases the next booking information.
Compare Watford Junction, Watford High Street and Watford Metropolitan line station against your starting point and access needs. Check the route to the festival entrance separately from the rail journey.
Use Herts Pride’s contact form. Explain the facilities you need and ask whether any advance registration applies. The 2026 viewing platform and mobile Changing Places provision are historical evidence, not guarantees for 2027.
