2026 event — 2027 date to be confirmed

Choose your Inverness base

Highland Pride’s 2026 procession began and ended at Eden Court. A room near the theatre or the historical city loop makes a useful starting point for comparing accommodation. Ness Walk is on the theatre’s bank of the river; Ness Bank is opposite. Check the bridge crossing and complete walking route rather than measuring a straight line between two map pins.

A 2027 date remains to be confirmed. This is a location shortlist, not a guarantee of availability or a confirmed future venue. Compare flexible terms while waiting for the announcement. For a weekend combining Pride with another Highland visit, allow time for both the city activities and the journey to your next destination.

Six hotels near the historical Pride route

These hotels are around the river and central Inverness, with different approaches to Eden Court. The first three are west-bank choices; the others require a bridge crossing or a longer city walk. If avoiding unnecessary walking matters, check the actual entrance and the room’s access features with the property before paying.

Ness Walk is south of Eden Court, while the Palace and Columba are nearer Ness Bridge. That difference can affect whether you prioritise the theatre or the station. Plan your arrival with luggage and the return after activities as separate journeys. Ask about luggage storage if you arrive before the room is ready.

Glenmoriston and Glen Mhor are on Ness Bank, across the river from the theatre. Their river views do not remove the need to reach a suitable bridge. Rocpool Reserve is on Culduthel Road rather than Ness Walk. Read the exact directions and consider gradients, crossings and the distance you want to cover after a busy day.

Check the room position when rest is important. A riverside address or an expensive room does not guarantee silence, and a hotel can have functions or a busy restaurant. Ask about a suitable room and late arrival arrangements. For anyone driving, compare parking terms with leaving the car at the hotel throughout Pride.

Three budget options

These guest-house and pub-room choices are value comparisons, not promises of low Pride-weekend rates. Compare the total for the same dates and guest numbers. Read the particular room’s bathroom and bed arrangements, and include breakfast or parking where relevant. A lower headline price can be less useful if it adds a transfer or an unsuitable room.

The Waverley Guest House is on Union Street, useful when railway arrival is your priority. Black Isle Bar & Rooms is on Church Street; its operator says some rooms overlook the garden bar. Consider that setting if you need an early night or predictable quiet. Jacobite Rose is a bed-and-breakfast on Fairfield Road rather than a riverside hotel.

Ask about stairs and access to the precise room before booking a smaller property. An accommodation category does not establish a lift or a step-free bathroom. Check reception and entry arrangements for a late return, and retain those instructions offline. Choose the budget option that fits the whole visit rather than the smallest initial room price.

Overflow areas

Nairn: ordinary rail journeys to Inverness take around 20 minutes. ScotRail’s May 2026 timetable includes Saturday examples of that length. Add the trip between your accommodation and Nairn station, plus the walk from Inverness station to Eden Court. A coastal stay can suit a wider trip, but check the evening return before organising Pride activities.

Dingwall: ordinary rail journeys take roughly 30–40 minutes. ScotRail’s North Highlands timetable gives useful station-to-station examples for comparing a northern base. Journey length varies with stops. Look at your actual date and both directions, rather than applying one train’s timing to the whole day. Include the final journey from the station to your hotel.

These are normal timetable examples, not extra Pride trains or a 2027 event timetable. An outer-town room can make sense for a wider Highland itinerary, but it adds waiting and travel time. Compare the full cost for everyone in your party. A central Inverness room can be better value when you want an uncomplicated late return.

Before you book

Confirm the next Pride date and main location first. Compare cancellation deadlines, deposits and any minimum stay before choosing a rate. Make sure the listing is for the intended property and area, especially where a search offers wider Highland accommodation. Keep the room confirmation, hotel entrance and travel plan available without needing a mobile connection.

For an accessible room, ask about the entrance, lift, bed clearance and bathroom that you will actually use. Request confirmation of the specific category rather than relying on a general filter. Assess the route between the room, station and event as well. A short distance can still involve steps or a crossing unsuitable for your needs.
