About Lincoln Pride

Lincoln Pride is a free, one-day celebration run by Lincoln Pride UK, a registered charity. It began in 2012 in City Square, moved to Brayford Wharf and now takes over Orchard Street in the city centre. The organiser describes it as suitable for all ages.

The day pairs a parade up from the High Street with a main event of music, stalls, food and a family area. In the evening, an official 18+ afterparty carries on at a city club. It feels like a city-centre street party with a community heart.

Pride grew out of protest, and the organiser calls the parade a statement of visibility and solidarity. That history mattered in 2026, when the community raised money to bring the march back.

When and where

Lincoln Pride 2026 took place on Saturday 15 August 2026 on Orchard Street, Lincoln, LN1 1DD. The site opened at 12pm with a quiet hour until 1pm. The main stage then ran from 1pm until about 7pm.

The official afterparty followed at The Scene Lincoln on Newland from 7pm. Attitude reported it ran until 7am and was for over-18s only.

No date for Lincoln Pride 2027 had been announced on the organiser’s site when we checked. Its homepage simply says “See you next time!” Watch the organiser’s site and social channels for news.

Lincoln Pride parade route and start time

The parade nearly did not happen. The organiser cancelled it in 2025 because of the rising cost of road closures, traffic management, security and stewarding. A fundraiser in spring 2026 covered those costs, and the organiser announced in June that “the parade is saved”.

In 2026, the parade set off at 12pm from Lincoln High Street and made its way to the main event. Attitude reported that it left from the Cornhill area and followed the High Street to Orchard Street. The organiser said the parade was free and everyone was welcome. Attitude added that members of the public could join behind the final float.

We did not find a published assembly time, detailed route map or group registration process. Lincoln BIG said businesses could take part by emailing the organiser. The High Street is the obvious place to watch, but no official viewing areas were published.

Lincoln Pride free events and what’s on

Entry to Lincoln Pride is free, and you do not need a ticket or a wristband. The organiser sold optional VIP tickets at £50 in 2026. Each VIP ticket covered one child under 14 or one carer, with proof. Attitude reported that VIP perks included priority entry, a viewing area and free afterparty entry for over-18s arriving before 9pm.

The 2026 line-up was headed by Booty Luv and Sam and the Womp, with Honey G and many drag acts and vocalists. Beyond the main stage there was a family area with games and crafts, a Sun Terrace with a live feed, stalls, food vendors and a Pride bar.

Anyone under 16 had to be with an adult, and the bar ran Challenge 25. Bags larger than A4 were not allowed, and all bags were searched. Metal detector wands were also used. Only sealed water bottles could be brought in, with no glass, portable speakers or sharp objects. Assistance dogs only. Optional supporter wristbands unlocked discounts at Lincoln businesses.

Lincoln Pride travel and road closures

Lincoln station is on St Marys Street, at the southern edge of the city centre. Cornhill and the High Street, where the 2026 parade began, are close to the station. Allow extra time if you arrive around midday.

The organiser says there is no parking on site. It names Lucy Tower Street Car Park as the nearest, less than five minutes’ walk from the main event. The station also has its own car park.

We found no published 2026 road-closure plan, Pride shuttle bus or extra late trains. The parade fundraiser mentions road closures, so expect the High Street to be busy around midday. Check your last train before you settle in for the evening, especially if you need a connection.

Where to stay

The Brayford waterfront puts you close to the event and a short walk from the station. Book early for an August Saturday. A canal-side inn outside the centre is a quieter alternative. Check cancellation terms before booking.

Accessibility

The 2026 quiet hour, from 12pm to 1pm, gave visitors a calmer time to arrive before the stage started. Attitude reported accessible toilets on site and a British Sign Language interpreter on the main stage. Each VIP ticket also covered one carer with proof, and Attitude listed seating and private facilities among the VIP perks.

We found no published details of a Changing Places toilet, a viewing platform or a separate quiet space. Lincoln’s uphill area around the cathedral and castle is very steep, so plan sightseeing separately.

Lincoln station is step-free to all platforms, according to East Midlands Railway. National Key toilets are on Platform 3, and Passenger Assist can be booked in advance. For event questions, contact the organiser at info@lincolnpride.co.uk or on 07387 706474.
