Choose your Manchester base

Manchester Village Pride happens in the Gay Village, between Portland Street, Whitworth Street and Piccadilly station. The six hotels below are a short walk from the Village gates or the 2026 parade route. This is a location shortlist: walking times depend on your mobility, the gate you use and the road closures on the day. The fenced Village needs a wristband from Friday to Sunday, even if your hotel is next door.

Affiliate disclosure: hotel links below go to Booking.com through CJ. Off to Pride may earn a commission if you book through them, at no extra cost to you.

Room rates change with dates, availability and cancellation terms, and the August Bank Holiday is a busy weekend in Manchester. No fixed Pride room price is quoted. Check the exact property, room, guest count and total payable before booking. Contact the hotel directly about specific access needs.

Overflow areas: Salford Quays, Stockport and Altrincham

If central rooms are full or expensive, these places widen the search. The times below are typical daytime journeys, not a special Pride timetable or a promise of a late service. Add the walk at each end and time for queues.

Salford Quays → Piccadilly Gardens
About 20–30 minutes by tram
Stockport → Manchester Piccadilly
About 8–15 minutes by train
Altrincham → city centre
About 30–35 minutes by tram

Salford Quays has hotels around MediaCityUK and the waterfront. Metrolink runs into the city centre, and Deansgate-Castlefield is convenient for the parade start. Trams normally finish around 1am on Friday and Saturday nights and earlier on Sunday and Monday, so a late Village night may end in a taxi.

Stockport is a short train ride from Piccadilly, the closest mainline station to the Village. Check the last Manchester-to-Stockport departure for your travel date. A late train into Manchester does not tell you when you can get home. Allow time to reach the station after leaving the event.

Altrincham is at the end of a Metrolink line, with some Northern trains as well. The journey is longer, so it suits a parade day or a Monday visit better than a late night. Check the last tram home before you go out.

Use the TfGM journey planner for trams and buses, and National Rail for trains. Bank holiday engineering work can change services, so recheck the week before you travel.

Before you book

The organiser has announced the 2027 dates as 27–30 August 2027. Choose your base by the part of the weekend that matters most: Piccadilly and Portland Street for the Village, Deansgate or Castlefield for the parade start.

  • Confirm the event dates on the organiser’s site before a non-refundable booking.
  • Check check-in times, luggage storage and cancellation terms.
  • Ask how to reach the hotel during the Village road closures.
  • Ask about access using the exact room and entrance you will use.
  • Plan your late journey and save the hotel address offline.
