About Peterborough Pride

Peterborough Pride brings the city’s LGBTQ+ community and allies together for a march and an Embankment celebration. Its organiser describes Pride as a celebration and a call to action for social justice. Pride’s roots are in protest against discrimination and for equal rights.

The 2026 event took place on Saturday 18 July. Peterborough College’s report of 22 July confirms the completed celebration, live music and community stalls. A separate UNISON account published on 31 July records the march and festival.

Plan the street procession and the festival as two parts of your visit. That distinction matters for tickets, arrival points and meeting friends. You can build a shorter visit around the march or allow an afternoon for performances and conversations with community organisations.

When and where

The organiser’s 2026 event listing gave 18 July, with the main event at Peterborough Embankment from 2pm–9pm. Those were the advertised festival hours; the march had a separate gathering place.

The 2027 date is TBC. The official homepage showed no upcoming events when checked on 13 October 2026. No official 2027 announcement was found in the accessible website information or indexed social posts.

Keep these historical arrangements separate from a future booking. Wait for the new venue, programme and ticket information before committing to an inflexible room. Save the organiser’s event page rather than relying on an old listing shared without its year.

Peterborough Pride march route and start time

UNISON’s post-event account says participants gathered at Stanley Park, where a choir performed, before marching through the city to the Embankment. It confirms those endpoints but does not give a full street-by-street route.

A confirmed assembly time, departure time and intermediate streets were not established from the usable organiser and retrospective pages. For the next edition, use the new official march instructions. Choose a viewing position on the published route and leave crossings and entrances clear.

If some friends march while others watch, agree where to meet afterwards. Choose a landmark outside the busiest arrival point and share it before setting off. Groups should ask the organiser about future registration rather than treating individual attendance as permission to bring a banner, vehicle or organised contingent.

Peterborough Pride tickets, prices and what’s on

The official 2026 listing advertised gate tickets from £20 after online sales ended. UNISON described the Embankment celebration as ticketed. A Gaydio advance listing described Pride as free, which conflicted with that festival information; use the organiser’s gate-ticket wording for the main site.

Peterborough College’s account confirms music and local community stalls at the completed event. Take time to visit organisations as well as the entertainment. A festival can be a useful place to discover local support and make connections beyond the day itself.

Future admission prices, age conditions and any separate evening bookings need the next programme. Check what each ticket includes before buying. If bringing children, ask about the relevant admission category and activities instead of assuming every part of Pride has the same rules.

Peterborough Pride travel and getting there

National Rail lists Peterborough station on Station Road, managed by LNER. Use it as the rail arrival point, then map your first destination. Stanley Park assembly and the Embankment festival require different final approaches.

National Rail also warned that 111 main station car-park spaces closed from 15 June for the Station Quarter project. Check the current notice before driving; that historical warning does not establish availability for a future Pride.

No Pride-specific bus diversions, reserved parking or extra trains were confirmed. Check your bus operator’s timetable and the council’s current parking information for the day you travel. Allow time for the walk from your stop, especially if you need regular rests.

Plan the return before leaving home. Find the last train that completes your whole journey, including connections, and allow time to retrieve luggage. If you stay for late entertainment, decide whether an overnight room makes more sense than a hurried departure.

Where to stay

The first two hotels are central options for the city procession and an onward walk to the Embankment. The third is a budget comparison on Fletton Avenue, across the river. Their operators confirm the addresses. Compare room types, cancellation conditions and your actual route; a budget option is not a guaranteed lowest price.

Accessibility

National Rail gives Peterborough station step-free category A, with access to all platforms and lifts. Arrange Passenger Assist with your operator and check lift availability before travelling. Station access does not establish the surface conditions at the festival.

Reserved viewing, accessible festival toilets, Changing Places, BSL and a dedicated quiet area were not confirmed from the event pages checked. Ask the organiser through its published address, Chair@peterboroughpride.co.uk, about your essential facilities before booking.

Explain whether you are joining the procession, visiting the festival or doing both. Ask about the journey between them and how to leave if you need a break. Agree a quieter meeting point with companions, bring any personal hearing protection you use, and keep your return plan easy to follow.
