Accessible Pride Cymru.

Viewing, BSL, toilets and carer tickets for a workable visit.

2026 event — 2027 date announced: 12–13 June 2027

Viewing, BSL and step-free routes

The parade arrangements below describe 2026. Festival facilities and ticket advice follow the organiser’s current 2027 guidance. Confirm the next edition’s facilities and booking process with the organiser before travelling. Permanent transport and venue facilities should also be checked for your visit date.

For 2027, the organiser lists a viewing platform overlooking the main stage, with viewing areas at the other stages too. It is open to access ticket holders. BSL interpretation covers the Main Stage, Community Stage and Cabaret Stage on both days, and the gateline at peak times. If you need an interpreter elsewhere on site, ask a volunteer, who can radio for one.

The castle setting has cobbled paths and uneven ground, and some routes may be hard to use. The organiser provides alternative routes where possible, with volunteers to help. Ask the access team about the route from the gate to the viewing platform before the day.

The organiser describes the parade route as smooth pavement and road, though benches, bollards and trees line parts of it. In 2026 an access area sat in the White section of the parade, with a BSL interpreter and access volunteers. A quieter area was at the back, in the Green section. You can use these or stay with your assigned group.

Access and carer or PA tickets: how to apply

Access tickets are for deaf, disabled and neurodivergent people who need extra provision. Buy the access version of your day ticket through the official ticket page; buy one access ticket only. Pride Cymru then emails a form for a free carer or PA ticket. The team reviews it and either issues the ticket or asks for more information.

Accepted evidence includes a PIP or DLA award notice, a Blue Badge or a Hynt or Access card. Your access wristband, collected at the Access Hub, gives a fast-lane queue with wider aisles, use of the viewing platform and free leave-and-return during the day. That matters, because standard tickets have no re-entry. Contact access@pridecymru.com if your circumstances need discussion.

Accessible toilets and Changing Places

Accessible portable toilets are placed around the festival site. The organiser says a mobile Changing Places unit is on site on both days. Ask the access team where it will be and what equipment it carries before relying on it.

Off site, Transport for Wales lists Changing Places toilets at both Cardiff Central and Cardiff Queen Street stations. You don’t need a rail ticket to use them. Open them with a radar key or ask station staff, and bring your own sling if you need the hoist. St David’s shopping centre publishes accessible toilet information. Ask its Guest Services team about the current Changing Places location, equipment and opening hours before relying on it.

Quiet spaces and welfare

The Access Hub has seating, fidget items, noise-cancelling headphones, activities and water points, plus a quiet space. The published 2027 Quiet Hour on Sunday, 11am to 12.30pm, brings reduced volume and fewer scheduled performances. The Access Team and Welfare Team are available to help. Expect strobe and lighting effects, smoke machines and video screens elsewhere on site.

Medication is allowed in small amounts; bring a copy of a repeat prescription if you have one. The access team can arrange food exceptions for dietary needs. Assistance animals are welcome, with water at the Access Hub and viewing platform. Agree a meeting point outside the busiest areas with your companions.

Transport access

Book help through Transport for Wales Passenger Assistance if you need it, and allow extra time, as June event trains can be very full. On the 2026 parade day, Cardiff Bus moved several routes to temporary stops on Churchill Way, Greyfriars Road and Tudor Street. Check Cardiff Bus updates for your stop, and the Cardiff travel section for road closures. If you need a taxi, agree a pickup point outside the closed streets.

Your practical access checklist

  • Save your access ticket, PA approval and contact details offline.
  • Collect your wristband at the Access Hub on arrival.
  • Check the route over cobbles to the viewing platform.
  • Confirm Changing Places locations, equipment and hours.
  • Recheck the 2027 access policy before booking travel.
