Plan a town-centre Pride visit around Time Square, Golden Square and local travel connections.
2026 event — 2027 date to be confirmed
Warrington Pride brings LGBTQ+ visibility into the town centre, with a parade linking its main gathering places. The Warrington BID’s official Pride page describes a programme involving local businesses, charities, community groups and allies.
Time Square, Warrington Market and Golden Square give visitors several places to meet rather than one isolated festival field. That makes a daytime visit easy to shape around a parade, performances and a food break. Pride grew from protest against discrimination, and public visibility remains part of its purpose.
Choose a meeting point by name before arriving. Time Square and Golden Square are different places, and a message saying only “the square” can send friends to opposite ends of the programme. Save both on your phone and agree where to regroup.
Warrington Pride was scheduled for Saturday 13 June 2026. The organiser listed Time Square, Golden Square, Warrington Market and other town-centre venues. This guide describes the published 2026 arrangements; a reliable report confirming delivery was not located.
The Golden Square venue advertised its 2026 celebration from noon to 7pm. Other activities had separate schedules, so that window did not describe every participating venue.
No official 2027 date was found as of 13 October 2026. Treat it as TBC, rather than assuming the same weekend. Wait for the organiser’s announcement before making non-refundable travel or hotel bookings.
The organiser’s 2026 plan gave a noon departure from Time Square, travelling through the town centre to Golden Square. Arrival was expected around 12.30pm. The retained page did not publish a complete street-by-street route or a separate assembly time.
Groups and individuals were asked to register using the sign-up form linked from the official Pride page and accept its code of conduct. A group fee and registration deadline were not published on the pages consulted. Use the next edition’s form when available.
Time Square suits visitors interested in the departure; Golden Square suits those combining the finish with performances. Those are planning suggestions, not designated viewing zones. Keep pedestrian crossings and entrances clear, and follow marshals rather than trying to join a moving procession.
Golden Square’s own 2026 listing advertised a free, all-ages celebration from noon to 7pm. Its planned programme combined entertainment, traders and activities across the shopping centre, with music and performances in Old Market Square.
Drew’s Dirty Disco and host Bear Glitz were named in the programme, alongside a new GS Drag Superstar competition. These were 2026 plans, not a confirmed future line-up. The wider organiser’s listings also included family activities, workshops and evening events.
Free entry to the daytime Golden Square event did not establish the price or age rule for every separate venue. Read the individual listing before booking an evening out. If visiting with children, start with the daytime programme and agree a break away from the loudest performances.
Allow a separate food budget and carry what you need for rain or sunshine. A central setting offers flexibility, but you still need to manage queues, noise and your own energy.
Golden Square’s travel page identifies Warrington Central and Warrington Bank Quay as its rail options. Central is on Winwick Street; Bank Quay is on Parker Street. Check which station your ticket uses before planning the walk to your first venue.
The venue describes Central as a short walk and Bank Quay as roughly ten minutes away. Allow more time for crowds, crossings and an unfamiliar route. If starting at Time Square, map that destination separately rather than following directions to Golden Square.
Warrington’s Own Buses provides journey planning and service updates for local travel. Check your stop and return direction, especially if closures divert buses. For driving, use the venue’s car-park information and check event restrictions; no complete 2026 closure schedule was retained.
Before leaving home, check the final train or bus for the whole journey, including connections. A daytime programme’s finish does not guarantee a useful late service. Keep a return option that does not depend on finding a taxi after everyone leaves together.
The first two hotels provide town-centre walking bases around Centre Park. The third is a budget comparison on Winwick Road. Compare complete rates, cancellation conditions and your walking route: the budget label does not promise the cheapest room.

National Rail lists step-free access to all platforms at both Warrington Central and Bank Quay, with lifts and staff assistance. Arrange Passenger Assist where needed and check lift status before travelling.
Golden Square’s accessibility page places accessible toilets in the Welcome Hall by the blue-zone lifts. It also describes disabled parking bays and Shopmobility wheelchair and scooter hire. These are regular centre facilities, not a confirmed festival viewing platform.
Event-specific reserved viewing, Changing Places facilities, BSL and a quiet space were not confirmed. Ask the Pride organiser through its website about event arrangements, and Golden Square about building facilities. Explain which venue you plan to use and ask when toilets remain accessible during performances.
The 2027 date has not been announced yet. The 2026 event was on 13 June. We will update this guide when the organiser confirms the next date.
Golden Square advertised free, all-ages admission for its 2026 event. Separate workshops or evening venues could have their own conditions.
The 2026 plan specified Time Square at noon, reaching Golden Square around 12.30pm. A full street route and assembly time were not retained.
