About Pride Wrecsam

Pride Wrecsam is Wrexham’s local LGBTQ+ celebration, bringing community groups and allies together. The organiser’s bilingual website describes its purpose as a safe space where people can celebrate diversity and inclusion. Its 2026 date was 25 July.

There is evidence beyond the advance announcement. Stepping Stones North Wales published a first-hand account of attending on that Saturday and running an information stall. It described conversations with local visitors and the value of introducing support services to the community.

This gives a useful picture of a community-focused visit, rather than simply an evening party. Leave time to talk to organisations as well as meet friends. Pride has roots in protest against discrimination and the demand for equal rights; visibility and support remain part of the day.

When and where

The organiser published Saturday 25 July 2026. A separate organiser-authored WOB40 event listing on Skiddle described the Pride march leading to outdoor activities on Llwyn Isaf. That is the source for the field location here; the main Pride homepage publishes the date without a detailed site plan.

The 2027 date is TBC. No official announcement was found when checked on 13 October 2026. Do not transfer a July Saturday or an old timetable into a future booking.

For a next visit, save the organiser’s announcement and a map of the meeting place. Check whether the festival field, march assembly and any evening venue have separate entrances. Arrange a recognisable meeting point before travelling, especially if your group arrives by different trains.

Pride Wrecsam march route and start time

A march was included in the 2026 WOB40 listing, which described joining it before reaching Llwyn Isaf. A reliable full route, assembly time and departure time could not be established from the available 2026 organiser material. Ask Pride Wrecsam for the next march instructions before choosing a viewing spot.

The official participation page remains headed Wrexham Pride 2025. Its group application form is therefore historical information, not confirmed registration for another year. No 2026 group fee or deadline is quoted here.

If you want to watch rather than march, wait for a published route and choose a place where you can leave the crowd comfortably. Keep crossings and entrances clear. Organisations travelling together should establish participation arrangements with the organiser before making banners or booking group transport.

Pride Wrecsam tickets, prices and what’s on

Stepping Stones’ account confirms community information stalls at the 2026 event. Young Wrexham’s advance notice also advertised the INFO Shop’s involvement. These sources support the community character, but do not establish a complete entertainment timetable or festival admission policy. The next entry price and hours are TBC.

The separate WOB40 Presents: Big Gay Rave at The Lab in Eagles Meadow was scheduled for 3pm–7pm on 25 July 2026. Its Skiddle listing specified age 18+. Those conditions belonged to that separate event, not the outdoor Pride festival.

Check individual evening listings for entry, age rules and ticket availability. For a daytime visit, budget for meals and drinks independently of admission. Bring weather protection and leave room in the plan for a sit-down break, rather than treating the whole afternoon as a fixed itinerary.

Pride Wrecsam travel and road closures

Wrexham General is on Station Approach. National Rail identifies Transport for Wales as its station operator. Save a walking route to the agreed Pride meeting point, and check the station named on your ticket rather than assuming every Wrexham service uses the same stop.

Arriva’s Wrexham page lists service 1 to Chester Rail Station, 2/2a/2c towards Oswestry and service 5 towards Llangollen. Use the operator’s timetable and service updates for your travel date. These are ordinary routes, not a confirmed Pride shuttle.

Event-specific parking, road closures and extra trains were not confirmed. Before driving, check council parking information and the organiser’s access instructions. Avoid planning a pickup at a march assembly point unless it is explicitly permitted.

Choose a return service before leaving home, including any connection beyond Chester. Allow time to leave the field and reach the platform or stop. A later evening event can require a different journey home, so check that separately before buying tickets.

Where to stay

The first two hotels are central Wrexham options for reaching the event area. The guest house is a budget alternative to compare on Sontley Road. Check the whole stay cost and cancellation terms; none is guaranteed to be the cheapest on a Pride weekend.

Accessibility

National Rail lists Wrexham General as step-free category A, with access to every platform and lifts. Discuss assistance with Transport for Wales and check lift status before travel. Station access does not establish an accessible route across a festival field.

Reserved viewing, event toilets, Changing Places, BSL and a quiet space could not be confirmed from the 2026 Pride pages. Contact the organiser at its published address, pridewrecsam@gmail.com, with the specific facilities you need.

Ask about the approach from your arrival point, surfaces around Llwyn Isaf and where you can take a break. If booking accommodation, confirm room and bathroom access directly with the property. A central address alone does not guarantee step-free entry.
