About this guide

How we check our facts

Our approach to organiser announcements, council and travel sources, review dates, photograph licences and corrections for Off to Pride guides.

Start with the organisation responsible

Off to Pride uses published sources to help visitors plan a trip. For an event date, programme or entry rule, we start with the organiser. For road closures and public facilities, we use the relevant council. For trains, buses and stations, we use the transport operator or official station information.

Each source answers a different question. A council’s road closure does not necessarily establish the full parade route. A railway station’s access information does not establish access across a festival field. We keep those distinctions in the guide instead of treating one source as an answer to every practical question.

Where a guide uses a venue’s own information, it describes that venue. A hotel address or a museum’s normal opening arrangements do not confirm a future event’s programme. Follow the source links for the part of your visit that matters most.

Dates, announcements and checks

A future Pride date is marked “announced” only once the organiser publishes it. A listing elsewhere, a previous year’s weekend or a countdown without a usable date does not establish the next edition. Where confirmation is missing, the date remains to be confirmed.

Historical details are labelled by year. A 2026 ticket price, assembly time or venue is background for that edition, rather than a promise about 2027. When sources disagree, the guide should identify the difference or leave the detail unconfirmed.

“Last checked” records when the information was reviewed. It does not mean the organiser has guaranteed that nothing will change afterwards. Before buying travel or a room, reopen the organiser’s announcement and check your transport operator’s current advice.

Photographs and licensing

Our photograph records identify the Wikimedia Commons source and the licence used. Photo credits link to the source file and licence so you can inspect them yourself. A photograph illustrates a place or event; it does not establish the date of the next Pride.

The collection includes public-domain and CC0 material, alongside CC BY and CC BY-SA photographs. CC BY requires attribution. CC BY-SA also requires adaptations to use the same licence. Always follow the particular credit’s licence link, including its version, when considering reuse.

Report a correction

Please use our corrections and contact page if something is wrong. Include the page address, the exact detail and a link to the organiser, council, operator or venue information. Explain which year the correction concerns. This helps us distinguish a changed future plan from an older edition’s arrangements.
