off to pride

Make a weekend of it

Stay close to your Pride day.

Six walkable hotels, three budget options and nearby rail bases.

2026 event — 2027 date to be confirmed

Choose your Brighton base

These six hotels are within walking distance of the published seafront or city-centre parade route. Leonardo also puts you closer to the northern city and Preston Park than the seafront properties. This is a location shortlist: walking suitability depends on your mobility, the gate you use and road restrictions. The festival entrance is a separate journey from a hotel beside the parade.

Overflow bases: Hove, Worthing and Lewes

These places can widen the accommodation search, but compare the whole trip rather than just the room price. The following are typical daytime station-to-station rail estimates, not a Pride special timetable or a promise of a late train. Add the walk to each station, waiting time and the journey to your Brighton venue.

Hove → Brighton
About 4–7 minutes
Worthing → Brighton
About 25–30 minutes
Lewes → Brighton
About 14–17 minutes

Hove is west of central Brighton and useful for the parade’s Hove Lawns start. Hove station and the seafront are different locations: check the property’s actual address. A walk from a Hove hotel to the start may be more useful than taking a train into Brighton first.

Worthing lies along the westbound Coastway line. It can work for an overnight base if you choose a realistic return service, but limited late trains and station queues are part of the decision. Confirm whether you need Worthing, East Worthing or West Worthing station.

Lewes is east of Brighton with direct daytime services. Check the walk from Lewes station to your room, especially if carrying luggage or needing step-free access. A short rail journey is helpful only when the service runs at the time you intend to leave.

For the 2026 event, the organiser required visitors to use Brighton station because the two smaller northern stations were closed. Recheck the next edition’s rail plan before choosing any base by proximity to Preston Park station. Use Southern or National Rail to plan the complete return journey.

Camping and booking checks

The official 2026 campsite was on Waterhall Road, Brighton BN1 8YR, from 31 July to 3 August. It is separate from Preston Park. Use the organiser’s campsite information for future booking updates and check transport, pitch arrangements and admission inclusions.

  • Confirm the event date before making a non-refundable reservation.
  • Check check-in time, luggage storage and cancellation terms.
  • Ask about access using the exact room and entrance you will use.
  • Tell the hotel when you arrive so it can explain road restrictions.
  • Plan the late journey and save the accommodation address offline.
