off to pride

Make a weekend of it

Stay near the city procession.

Six central hotels, three budget alternatives and rail-connected overflow areas for a Leicester visit.

2026 event — 2027 date to be confirmed

Choose your Leicester base

The historical parade started at the Curve, crossed city-centre streets and finished at Abbey Park. Choose your room around the part you most want to attend. A hotel close to the parade can still leave a separate journey from the park at night. A station-side stay helps with luggage and trains, but it does not put every festival gate on your doorstep.

Affiliate disclosure: hotel links below go to Booking.com through CJ. Off to Pride may earn a commission if you book through them, at no extra cost to you.

The shortlist is about location, rather than a guarantee of event-date availability, room accessibility or a particular price. Compare the same dates, guest count and cancellation terms. The 2027 date remains to be confirmed, so check what happens if your preferred weekend changes. Ask a hotel directly about the entrance, lift and bathroom you need before paying.

These city-centre choices help with different parts of the historical procession. Curve-side accommodation favours the start, while the Old Town suits Jubilee Square and The Lanes. Great Central Square puts you on the northern side of the centre. Check the actual walking route to the next festival entrance instead of comparing straight-line map distances.

Three budget options

These are economy-brand or value-comparison alternatives, rather than a promise of the cheapest Pride rate. Add breakfast, transport and parking before deciding which is best value. Read the room description closely, particularly when a small property offers several bathroom types. A lower room price only helps if the location and facilities fit your visit.

Overflow areas

Loughborough and Nottingham offer rail-connected alternatives when central rooms do not suit your budget. Typical journey lengths below are based on the published 2026 EMR regional timetable. They are station-to-station examples, not a confirmed 2027 event timetable. Include your hotel’s journey to its own station and the walk across Leicester at the other end.

Loughborough: around 10–25 minutes. Fast direct trains and stopping regional services have different journey lengths. Use Loughborough’s mainline station when planning Leicester travel, rather than confusing it with the heritage railway’s separate station. Choose accommodation around the connection you will actually use. Check the evening return before making a saving dependent on the final possible train.

Nottingham: roughly 20–55 minutes. The published timetable contains faster services alongside regional trains with additional stops. Compare the whole door-to-door journey rather than choosing the shortest example. If you plan to stay until the park closes, allow time to reach Leicester station and find your platform. Check any onward tram or bus separately.

The 2026 EMR regional timetable explains those historical examples. Use the operator’s actual-date journey planner for a future visit. An overflow stay may give you more room choices, but extra fares and transfers can remove the saving. Keep an earlier return as a fallback and save the details offline.

Before you book

Check the cancellation deadline, deposit and number of nights before choosing a rate. Ask about luggage storage if you arrive before check-in, and confirm how to enter the building after an evening out. A city-centre address can be useful while bringing street noise. Ask about the specific room position if rest is important to your plan.

Keep written confirmation of any agreed access arrangement, including the room category and bathroom. Plan the journey from the park as carefully as the journey from the station. If you will use a taxi, check the likely pickup point and cost before the day. Save the hotel address and contact details where you can read them with a flat phone.
